The Dream, the Magic and the Poetry: the art of Charlotte Gastaut between Illustration and fashion

Romics celebrates Charlotte Gastaut, French artist  among the most appreciated and awarded of the moment. An itinerary which shows her works and tells about her articulate publishing activities and her very close collaboration with fashion. The cooperation with Costume 3 Pieces agency have allowed her to get noticed in the environment of international fashion, so much that maison Fendi and Hermès have created exclusive collections of high fashion inspired by her illustrations.

The exhibitions at Romics celebrates the polyhedric artist and is composed by 50 works, partly original sketches and partly reproductions, which narrate her career path and the use of innovations   like the laser-cut. Illustrated books inspired by classic fairytales such as The little mermaid, Goldilocks, The wizard of Oz, but also those taken from more refined stories such as Wild Swans, The magic flute and One thousand and one night. An important section is dedicated to the bond between Charlotte Gastaut and the fashion. It will be possible to admire the pieces created for the Fendi collection 2016 and some examples of silk scarves directly created and produced by the artist.
